Crib Question - How to make peace with bedding?

Hi, I bought a car for my second baby to use. I never used one with my first. It came with what looks like a Doona fairly thick, but fits perfectly into the base, so I think Doona is a? Embroidery and lace, this does not sit right ontop of the mattress and am destined to bring sheets and a blanket over the top? Or is the intention of going ontop?? I'm confused and I do not know anyone who has used a cradle, so I'll trust you! Hope I dont sound too stupid

Lol, I have the same thing. It's just a Doona and mine came with a small pillow too. I decided not to use, and insecurity related to SIDS. All you need is a crib mattress protector and lower leaves (although pillowcases fit perfectly!) So, just blankets and coats choose to use.
