I'm Getting chicks and have a heat lamp ...?

Is it okay to just use a heating pad or is necessary for the fire. How often do chicks eat in a day? Should I feed them by hand or I can put food on a plate? Are they like shit and pee in a specific location? How long do they sleep at night? Are they going to get the fight one another, even if they are just chickens?

Hello, a heating pad is totally unnecessary for the hatching of chicks, you need a heat lamp. The temperature of the incubator should be around 100F for the first week then dropped 5C each week.They need this temperature, because they can not control their own heat. Chicks can be fed the crumbs of chicken after an open bowl, which should be regularly filled, water can be a drinker.They 1L can eat food barely born by themselves. Chicks shit everywhere and do. Use as wood shavings as bedding to absorb moisture. awake all night, if you deduct the use of red light bulbs. Play against each other, but no damage to the other.
